Never got security deposit back. They even violated the law and did not give us an itemized bill letting us know why we didn't get our deposit back. Never live here, ran by amateurs and people who will cause you a great disservice. EDIT: Would just like to add that regardless of their poor attempt at replying to call them, they still didn’t remember the issue and have not gotten back to us or rectified the issue after many phone calls back. While it may look good on social media that the owners “attempted” to make amends by saying to call their office, the reality is that it’s just a red herring. 100% do not move in here, ever.

  • I had recently posted a extremely horrible review and would like te retract what I previously posted. Lisa in our community office reached out to me immediately to follow up on my issues and I must say I am highly impressed. She let me voice my concerns and listened and was very informative of getting things addressed. I want to just say that I called in for a heat issue in my unit this past Tuesday and I'm beyond floored on how it was handled. Great maintenance guys ( Donnie and Frank are awesome guys! The new owners and workers are really trying hard to do the right things for us tenants! I highly recommend taking a look here if you are looking for somewhere to live. It's very quiet and great staff!

Unfortunately, Brook Run has gone from a wonderful place to live (about a year and a half ago) to an absolute disaster of a place to live. Where do I begin? Since new management took over, you can expect the following: -Parking in visitor parking as a resident (yes that's right) A few months ago they came out with something called "Reserved Parking". So for $50/mo, in addition to your crazy rent price, you get to park your car, uncovered, outside just a tad bit closer to the door! What annoys me the most is I can see that ONE spot out of the MANY that are "reserved" is being used. So here I am, coming home from a long day of work, with tons of reserved spots open, and I'm parking in visitor section in the dead of winter. Lovely. Parking is extremely difficult here, and then you add on that little "feature". The funniest part is some of these "reserved" spots are literally 20 feet from visitor parking.. do you really think people are going to pay for these? Open them up so RESIDENTS can park here!!!! Oh no "we'll tow you if you park here". Laughable - THIS ISN'T CHICAGO.... It's the suburbs! -Secondly, new improvements are happening to the buildings. A lot of these are awesome, but they tell you things that don't actually happen. I.e - over the summer they were re-doing balconies. I got a note to take all my furniture off my balcony the next day. Fine. So I had it in my living room in my apartment that is 650 sq...... They didn't even end up doing my balcony for a whole month. Thankfully, I have a storage unit so I threw my furniture in there, but that was just uncalled for. Don't tell me to remove my furniture the next day and then actually do a service a month later. -Third, they advertise resident events on their website but they don't actually have any (old management did though). Not a huge deal, just take that off the site if it's a service you don't offer. -Fourth, sometimes their website is on drugs and doesn't work. So when you go to pay your rent, it doesn't work. I've sat in front of my computer for a good half hour refreshing the page trying to pay my damn rent as if I have nothing better to do. You call them and they tell you it must be your internet. Yep... I'm sure. -Fifth, you'll pay $30/mo automatically (you have no choice) for a trash removal service. Sometimes these people don't even come to take your trash out. So it's sitting there in the hallway for days. $30/mo for that..... that's a gym membership some places! I do have to say that communication has gotten better with office staff - they are more responsive to emails and calls than they were when they first took over. But generally speaking, you should be looking for an apartment elsewhere. You can pay the same price and get better amenities and services at other apartments around the area.
